Julie Caputo is the founder and President of JLC Strategies. Prior to starting the firm, she worked with Floridian Partners, one of the top lobbying firms in the state of Florida. Before her time at Floridan, she worked for United States Congressman Joe Garcia (FL-26). While with the Congressman, her work focused on policy development and community outreach.

Before moving to South Florida, Julie worked in Washington D.C. for former Clinton White House Deputy Chief of Staff, Maria Echaveste’s government consulting firm, NVG, LLC. Over her years at the firm, she gained an extensive knowledge on legislation covering health care, immigration reform, agriculture, patent reform, education, energy, nutrition, transportation and infrastructure.

Along with policy development, Julie specializes in digital and community outreach, and is proficient in macro and micro targeting communities with social media campaigns and messaging. Her most notable projects are Intracoastal Mall, Sunset Place, Jungle Island Hotel and Adventure Park, Carlos Gimenez’s Mayoral Campaign, Ocean Terrace, the Calusa Trust Homeowners opposition campaign and later the Calusa Golf Course single family home development.

Originally from St. Louis, Julie holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Missouri (Mizzou). She is married to Chris Caputo, the Head Coach of The George Washington University’s Men’s Basketball team. The couple share two daughters and are proud owners of their rescue pup, Coco.
